Did you know❓ Some companies will "buy" contracts. This means they'll offer a quote on a job that's so low, they actually take a loss on the job, just so they have work for their team during a quiet period. As a builder or renovator, this can feel like a dream opportunity to get a great bargain... but it can quickly turn into a nightmare. Why? Three reasons: 1️⃣ These companies risk collapsing into bankruptcy halfway through the job, leaving you in a giant mess, and setting back your whole project by months, or even years! 2️⃣ Even if they stay afloat, chances are they'll try and extract more money from you once the project is in full swing, knowing it'll be hard for you to say no without risking your plans falling apart. 3️⃣ They might also be difficult to communicate with - think slow replies, short responses, bad attitude - since you're costing them time and money. Remember - if a quote seems too good to be true, that's because it is! Choosing a reputable company up front can save you money in the long run, even if their quote is higher to start with. #plastering #construction #quotes
