At CRM Brokers, we are committed to making our client's claims experience as smooth as possible. In recent times, we have noticed a trend of Police Reference/Event Numbers missing with claims lodgements, which can significantly delay the claims process. Reporting certain incidents to police as soon as reasonably practicable is often a claims condition in policy wording. This ensures that the incident has been properly reported, regardless of whether it is further investigated. For More Information: https://lnkd.in/gnkb_VM6

Underinsurance is a preventable but often devastating consequence of not insuring your businesses assets or income for the full replacement value if an Insured Event were to occur. There are many ways you can be underinsured, but a few which can be more common are: • Inaccurate Sums Insured for property, including building, stock and contents as well as removal of debris after an Insured Event. • Inaccurate Sums Insured for your equipment and machinery • Inaccurate Sums Insured for gross profit and additional costs of working if you have a Business Interruption Insurance policy. Our latest article explains what underinsurance is and how to avoid it. https://lnkd.in/gDXpiSup

The once innocuous lithium-ion battery has evolved into a significant fire hazard, posing a growing threat to strata properties and their residents across Australia. These are typically small rechargeable batteries with a high energy density, offering better power efficiency than other battery types. However, if a battery fails, it can burst the cells which can result in an intense, self-sustaining fire that can be difficult to extinguish. By understanding the factors contributing to battery fires and implementing preventive measures, strata residents can significantly reduce the likelihood of a disaster and create a safer environment for all.
