About us

Cuvée Chocolate was founded in 2015 by pastry chef & chocolatier Deniz Karaca and his wife Kylie. Since their humble beginnings, Kylie, Deniz and their team of passionate chocolate makers dedicate themselves to make Cuvée Chocolate the Home of Australia’s most exclusive and iconic range of chocolates. Our vision — to craft stoneground, small-batch, traditionally made chocolate that is second to none in texture and taste. Our passion for all things chocolate dictates that we only source the worlds best single origin cocoa beans from across the globe to bring you our small batch handcrafted chocolate tablets. We believe in forming strong bonds and partnerships with all our suppliers – both local as well as overseas to ensure we can meet the quality expectations of our customers with every chocolate bar we make! As a chocolate maker we also believe we have a social responsibility to ensure that every one of our partners can make a decent and worry free living without having to rely on charity or handouts, but simply by getting a fair pay for their hard work. For this reason, we ensure that all our ingredients are grown sustainably, sourced and paid for fairly and are 100% traceable to the farm they are grown on – whether it is Milk from South Gippsland, Cocoa Beans from Tanzania, Peru or other far corners of the world, or Hazelnuts grown and processed in Australia.

  • Is there ever a bad time for chocolate ice cream?! 🤤 If you feel like getting creative in the kitchen this summer, here's Deniz's most trusted recipe... INGREDIENTS 🍫 1873g Milk 100g Skimmed Milk Powder 180g Inverted Sugar 60g Glucose Powder 240g Sugar 12g Stabiliser 235g Cream 300g 75% Cuvée Grand Cru Dark Chocolate 60g Cuvée Alkalised Cocoa Powder 5g Sea Salt METHOD 🍨 1. Combine the milk powder, glucose powder, sugar and stabiliser and thoroughly mix 2. Place the chocolate, cocoa powder and sea salt into a separate bowl 3. In a small pot, add these dry ingredients to the milk and cream and bring to a boil whilst constantly stirring 4. Once boiled, pour over chocolate/cocoa powder and mix everything well using a whisk 5. Cover the surface with some gladwrap and leave to mature in the fridge for 10-12 hrs 6.
