  • We’re excited to announce a big step forward with the National Development Company (NDC) propelling Cyclion into South-East Asia! Our joint venture, Cyclion Philippines, is set to transform waste management. With the establishment of Cyclion Philippines and a $3 million USD investment from NDC, Cyclion Philippines will pioneer the first processing plant by year-end 2024. This facility, a proof of concept, will evolve into a research hub for Sustainable Aviation Fuel - tapping into a vast market potential of 1.5 billion barrels/year in the US alone! The NDC is instrumental in commercialising our waste-to-energy tech, and this partnership has boosted Cyclion Holdings' valuation to $15 million AUD ($10 million USD), and we couldn’t be more proud. I’m grateful for the NDC's strategic investment, solidifying our commitment to reshaping waste management globally. Big opportunities lie ahead! Anton Mauricio General Manager of the NDC, said, “Our joint efforts are not only advancing waste management solutions, but are also contributing to fulfilling national objectives of energy security and sustainability. This partnership reflects the NDC’s dedication to serving the Philippines and its people. Together, Cyclion and the NDC are navigating the path towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.” Our first facility in Manila will consist of multiple Cyclion waste processing modules to process 900 tonnes of waste daily, converting it into fuel or electricity. Focused on Asia and Southeast Asia, we aim to bridge the gap in recycling technologies. Follow Cyclion’s journey as exciting times lie ahead. #Cyclion #Sustainability #WasteToEnergy #Innovation

  • The growth of plastic and its associated pollution is arguably one of the earth’s most significant challenges now and into the future. ♻️ In 2019, it was estimated that only around 9% of plastics are recycled.  🌊 In 2019, it was estimated that 6.1 million tonnes of plastics enter aqueous environments and 1.7 million tonnes in the ocean.  💰 Efforts to date to slow plastic pollution through recycling have been largely ineffective. Current technology is relatively ineffective and expensive. Cyclion offers a new low-emission advanced technology that soaks waste in special catalytic fluids instead of burning it. Cyclion aims to make a contribution as a part of the solution to this global waste problem and to avoid permanent damage being done to our planet. • At Cyclion, we're inspired by organisations like Sungai Watch, who are making a tangible difference in the desperate fight against pollution in Indonesia. The organisation collects, sorts and recycles rubbish from some of the world’s most polluted rivers before it reaches our oceans. They're not only addressing the symptoms but also tackling the root causes of the problem, such as illegal dumping and poor waste disposal habits. However, their data highlights a concerning fact: 31% of the waste they collect cannot be recycled, including burnt plastic, diapers, sanitary waste, face masks, and more. Additionally, reports of large fires at council landfills last year underscore the urgent need for sustainable waste management solutions. This is where Cyclion's innovative technology could play a pivotal role. Our plants have the potential to divert waste from dangerous and polluting landfills (and rivers), transforming it into high-efficiency fuel. This fuel could then power council vehicles or generators, providing sustainable energy solutions for communities in need. Together, we can create a cleaner and greener future for our planet. Find out the incredible impact Sungai’s Watch is making from their 2023 Impact Report here:  https://lnkd.in/gVt55_yD

  • The world has a problem with plastic and biomass waste, and we need a better solution than storing or burning it. This is where Cyclion outperforms the waste-management competition. Our proprietary technology can turn the waste bound for landfills or the sea into electricity and fuel. More importantly, our process requires minimal pre-treating and uses patent-pending catalysts, allowing Cyclion to offer a lower environmental impact option to traditional methods. That's why we're already catching the attention of municipalities in Australia and South-East Asia. Follow along with our progress as we try to build a better world together.

  • Imagine if we could turn thousands of tonnes of waste into fuel or electricity without burning it. Waste-to-energy isn't new, but the way Cyclion does it is. Instead of burning waste, which is associated with concerns from local communities regarding emissions and harmful greenhouse gasses, we've devised a solution that produces negligible emissions. This is largely achieved by working in conjunction with The Murdoch University, who have studied the use of algae runs to treat exhaust gas. They are now at the point of commercialisation and working with Cyclion to deliver a waste-to-energy project with no smoke stacks. Our plants have also been designed to be modular and scalable, so they're suitable for remote communities, large municipalities, and everything in between.
