✈ Airspeed Pty Ltd is soaring to new heights! The local aerospace composite manufacturer has successfully completed its first captive carry flight test of the supersonic target prototype aboard the Marchetti S211 R&D platform. The 'Irukandji' prototype is set to undergo additional flight testing in 2025 to collect performance data and refine its aerodynamic design. 🛠 Strengthening local defence manufacturing 🛠 South Australian-based Levett Engineering Pty. Ltd. has secured a new contract with Kongsberg Defence Australia to produce stacking frames to support the Naval Strike Missile (NSM) capability for the Royal Australian Navy. Manufactured in Adelaide’s north, these frames will support NSM launcher modules under Project SEA 1300 Phase 1, boosting the local supply chain and strengthening Australia’s defence capabilities.
