Calculating water losses is not an exact science but applying the right guidelines with all the available factors, should enable contractors to get pretty close to the true number, which then allows utilities to make the right intervention decisions. #leakdetection #waterlosses #totalleakagevolumes

Staying on top of NRW and losses takes many elements working together as we all know. Our teams have been away in the most remote of communities using a number of techniques to identify losses, theft and misuse. To be agile, we have to pack light and use equipment that has the ability to perform a number of functions. Our FIDO Tech solution ticks those boxes with aplomb. Well done Pank Mistry and team. #waterloss #nrw #conditionmonitoring #meter

It was a privilege to represent the Australian Water Sector at the 5th Cambodian Water Conference & Exhibition 2024. An inspiring few days of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing with water professionals from across Cambodia and Australia. The event began with powerful speeches from H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (Cambodia), and H.E. Derek Yip, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia. Their leadership set the tone with a focus on creating real solutions for water sustainability. Our Australian delegation was proud to contribute to the program, sharing expertise on key topics: Asset Management and Monitoring - how can we reduce non-revenue water and improve water quality with presentations from Nick Cunningham (Osmoflo), Chris Evans (Detection Services) and Max Gray (TRILITY). Climate Resilience and Disaster Response with presentations from Melissa Mellado-Ruiz (John Holland), Huw Pohlner (Ricardo Australia), and Anna Whelan (Townsville City Council). It was an opportunity to renew the Australian Water Association's Memorandum of Understanding with the Cambodian Water Supply Association (CWA), symbolising our strong partnership and our ongoing commitment to building capacity and fostering collaboration between our countries. Another highlight was visiting the Svay Romeat Water Supply Company, which services 4,600 connections across 17 villages. Seeing firsthand how effective water management transforms communities. It was impressive to see how the station operates and to share ideas and experience with the General Manager and staff who kindly hosted conference delegates. Massive thanks to the incredible Australian delegation: Bruce Pollard (ALS), Will McLean (Clean TeQ Water Limited), Chris Evans (Detection Services), Melissa Mellado-Ruiz (John Holland), Nick Cunningham (Osmoflo), Huw Pohlner (Ricardo Australia), Darren Large (Sunwater), Anna Whelan (Townsville City Council), Max Gray (TRILITY), and Daniel Brown (Veolia Australia and New Zealand). Your openness, expertise and passion made a real impact. Congratulations and thank you to the Cambodian Water Supply Association (CWA) — President Leng Kheav, CEO Lim Minh and the CWA team—for an outstanding event and hosting us so warmly, and to the awesome AWA team Nicky Bekker, Kirsty Jones, Michael Silber, and Rachael C. for your fantastic work supporting CWA and connecting our members through this opportunity. Finally we are grateful for the funding support of this delegation and the Cambodian Water Conference and Exhibition which was made possible by the Australian Government and CAPRED Program. The shared commitment between Australia and Cambodia to sustainable and resilient water solutions is stronger than ever. Together, we’re making strides towards greater access to clean water and a more resilient future. #WaterForAll #Collaboration #Innovation #Sustainability #AustralianWaterAssociation Peter Dennis Kevin Werksman

A fantastic night at Parliament House thanks to the Queensland Water Directorate. And great to hear the Minister for Local Government and Water, and Minister for Fire, Disaster Recovery and Volunteers, the Hon. Ann Leahy announce the State Government's commitment to making the Works for Queensland program permanent, with a guaranteed minimum of $100 million in funding annually. The program will support the 65 councils outside of South East Queensland (SEQ) to deliver local projects that create jobs and deliver better infrastructure and services.

Water quality sensors are precision instruments, but they require meticulous maintenance to deliver accurate readings. Regular cleaning and calibration are therefore indispensable, yet they demand considerable time and resources. Innovations like the Intellisonde are reshaping the approach to water quality monitoring by minimising maintenance demands. https://lnkd.in/gSDQneX5
