About us

Direct Selling Australia is the industry association for direct selling in Australian retail and has been for almost 50 years. We represent and support organisations that manufacture and distribute goods and services sold directly to consumers. Around 60 organisations are members – including many well-known brands. What is direct selling? The sale of a product or service away from a fixed store, typically person-to-person or in a small group setting. The most common products sold are cosmetics, skincare, nutritionals and homewares. Direct sellers generally aren’t employees, they are independent contractors who sell the products or services of a company in return for a commission.
