When you think of what makes Domain special, it’s people like Sly Arinto, our Philippine Country Manager, who come to mind. I had a chance to sit down with her recently, and her words left me inspired. For Sly, the most rewarding part of working at Domain is the culture of trust and belonging. She said, “What I value most is the freedom to be authentic and vulnerable. It’s a safe space where open communication and diverse perspectives are celebrated—it helps me thrive both professionally and personally.” Her passion lies in developing her team. “Seeing my team grow, take on new challenges, and succeed is the best part of my job. I focus on creating a collaborative, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. A happy, engaged team is a productive one.” Sly is also a powerful voice for mental health awareness, drawing from her own journey with depression and anxiety over the past four years. “It’s okay not to be okay. Seeking help is a courageous step, not a weakness. I’m grateful Domain provides a space where these conversations are normalised, and I hope we can continue to break the stigma.” Outside of work, Sly recharges by spending time with her dog, Frost, on adventures that remind her to embrace life’s little joys. Last week’s offsite manager’s session in the Philippines was nothing short of inspiring! With over 30 Domain PH leaders coming together, we walked away with powerful lessons to help us go from good to great. Here are some key takeaways from our speakers that struck a chord: 🌟 Alison Hancock – "No one comes to the office to do less; everyone comes to do great." If our direct reports aren't performing well, we must step in with genuine care and curiosity. Be prepared to listen, understand, and always come from a place of empathy instead of judgment. 🌟 Gabrijela Juel – Our customers are our ultimate boss. How we show up every day should centre on putting them first. Challenge yourself to improve by just 1% every day—that small incremental growth leads to becoming 365% better in a year! 🌟 Sly Arinto – Moving from good to great begins with a growth mindset. Leaders must encourage their teams to actively participate in the journey but also ensure there’s a clear vision to follow. Great leadership is about empowering others while confidently steering the ship. 🌟 Leanne Howard – Every role we play directly impacts our customers. It’s inspiring to realise that even when our jobs feel routine, there are customers thriving because of what we do. That alone is a reward worth remembering. 🌟 Hazel Erika M. – Leadership is about being intentional. Shruthi Rao is a Senior Product Manager whose leadership journey has been shaped by her passion for technology innovation.  She is a champion for diversity, advocating for female representation and inclusion in tech, and soon she will embark on a different type of leadership journey - becoming a parent. Her career began as a software engineer, also co-founding a production house focused on social impact films. She moved to Australia to complete an MBA and explore cutting-edge tech startups working with crypto and ad tech. She then joined one of the Big 4 consultancies to experience the fast-paced world of consulting and strategy. These experiences then led her to Domain where she says she has found a good balance between innovation and scale. The report shows house price growth has slowed significantly, now three times slower than last quarter—the smallest increase since March 2023.
