Last night we had a graduation ceremony in Bourke, NSW, celebrating the achievements of so many students who have completed the Certificate III in Early childhood Education and Care through the ‘Deadly Connections Program’. It was also wonderful to see elders from the community cheering on these leaders who will be educating the future generations. The highlight is all the students have now enrolled to do their Diploma and one students who completed her Diploma will go on to do her Bachelor’s in Early childhood. Thanks to Prue, the community council and all the staff who work in Bourke and District Childcare services and partnership with the Indigenous employment services. It was delightful to see and hear about the difference ECTARC Training Services are making in regional and remote communities. The praise for our trainers Kim and Larissa was overwhelming. An amazing success in a pretty remote part of our state. A testament to working collaboratively and respectfully with communities. Well done everyone!
