Here are some key takeaways from her speech: ✅ 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: In the coming decade, as we phase out coal, we're delivering the 2,500-kilometre infrastructure superhighway to connect around 28 GW of renewable energy — equal to 8,000 wind turbines or 70 million solar panels. ✅ 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵: We're delivering a portfolio of network and non-network solutions to keep the grid stable so it can ride out disturbances and avoid instability as we integrate more renewables. ✅ 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Our control rooms are using advanced digital tools and real-time monitoring to handle the complexities of the future grid. Recent analyses indicate that every dollar invested in operability is expected to generate over $4 in consumer benefits. Marie reinforced a powerful message: timely, efficient investment in transmission is essential to keep the lights on and energy bills low.
