Today we organized a successful biometric mission in Adelaide, making it easier for our Belgian citizens to update their passports and eID cards without traveling interstate. 🚨 Call for Candidacies: Honorary Consul for the Solomon Islands 👇 The Kingdom of Belgium is currently seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to serve as Honorary Consul in the Solomon Islands. This prestigious role involves representing the interests of the Kingdom of Belgium in the Solomon Islands and providing consular services to its citizens abroad. Responsibilities: • Promote good relations between Belgium and the Solomon Islands. • Assist Belgian citizens in the Solomon Islands with consular services, including visa applications, legal issues, and emergency assistance. • Facilitate bilateral cooperation and support the activities of the Belgian Embassy. • Participate in events that enhance the visibility and interests of the Belgium. Eligibility Criteria: • Strong connection and commitment to defend Belgian interests in the Solomon Islands. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A good knowledge of one of the national languages (French, Dutch, German) is required. • Ability to work independently and manage consular duties effectively. • Legal residency in the host country. • Belgian candidates must be registered in the consular register of the competent career consular post. A more detailed description of the eligibility criteria is to be found in article 2 of the Belgian Royal Decree of 26 April 2024 on the status of the Honorary Consul. Application Process: Interested candidates are invited to submit the following documents: 1. A detailed resume highlighting relevant experience. 2. A cover letter explaining your motivation and suitability for the role. 3. A recent extract from the criminal record or an equivalent local document. Submission Deadline: All applications must be submitted by 31st of December 2024 to the Belgian Embassy in Canberra, via email at canberra@diplobel.fed.be. Each piece of music of this recital is presented and accompanied by a variation of the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This event is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit and a reminder of the importance of protecting and promoting human rights for all. Roland Peelman has received the National Individual Luminary Award at the 2023 APRA Art Music awards as well as Commander in the Order of the Crown by the Belgian government.
