The Enable Change Partners Sydney-based team came together for our first team-building activity of 2025, and it was truly special! We spent an evening transforming crates of rescued food into over 50 nourishing meals for the homeless in Sydney. Utilising our planning and strategy skills, we creatively determined how to maximise our allocated ingredients, ensuring every meal was delicious and wholesome. The challenge was to have everything prepared and served hot simultaneously for delivery to those in need. It was an incredible opportunity to engage the team while making a meaningful impact in our community. 🚲 The Journey to Adoption: Valuable Lessons from a 3-Year-Old's First Pedal Bike Experience! As a change management professional, I often witness organisations struggling to adopt new processes and technologies. Interestingly, the most profound insights can come from the simplest moments. Recently, my 3-year-old daughter received her first pedal bike, and she mastered it on the first attempt! Super proud Mum moment; yes, her adoption is a lesson to share on her journey to riding it unassisted. Starting on a balance bike, she practised balancing and steering, highlighting the importance of laying a strong foundation. As she needed time to build her skills, organisations must equip their teams with the basics before implementing change. Once she mastered balance, we introduced a bike with a brake, gradually allowing her to face new challenges. This mirrors how organisations can benefit from progressive change, enabling teams to adapt without feeling overwhelmed. When it was time to ride the pedal bike, she effortlessly applied her earlier skills, showcasing how preparation influences outcomes. Organisations that support a positive journey through change see greater success than those that rush the process without proper groundwork. The key takeaway? Successful adoption isn’t just about reaching the end goal but valuing and understanding the journey.
