Finding the right support worker isn’t just about qualifications—it’s about finding someone who truly fits into your family’s life. Support Worker Matching means looking beyond skills and experience to consider personality, interests, values, and routines. It’s about making sure your loved one feels comfortable, understood, and supported by someone who “just gets them.” A good match can mean stronger connections, more independence, and a better quality of life for everyone involved. If you're looking for a new support team for a loved one, or for yourself, get in touch! We'd love to get to know you and see if we're a good match. 🙌 www.enablewa.org.au #NDISAustralia #DisabilityWA #AlliedHealth #SupportWork #SupportWorkers #ServiceCoordination #NDISPlans #SpeechPathology #SpeechTherapy #NDIS #OccupationalTherapy #OccupationalTherapists #PBS #PositiveBehaviourSupport #EnableWA

You probably recognise Sue Edge from a number of posts, activities and awards we've shared about her - now Sue's Service Coordinator Kristy has shared some MORE huge news with us! 🌟 Celebrating Sue Edge! 🌟 The City of Mandurah Citizen of the Year Awards honour individuals who go above and beyond to serve our community—whether as volunteers, committee members, carers, or passionate advocates. These awards are a chance to reflect on, respect, and celebrate those who make a real difference. On Australia Day, Sue was awarded Senior Community Citizen of the Year (65+ years)! 🎉👏 Sue’s inspiring philosophy: "Parkinson’s Disease does not change the fact I have a life. It changes the way I do things. Dream, believe, adapt, and achieve." Despite her own challenges, Sue is deeply committed to supporting others: ✨ She organises an annual Quiz Night, raising thousands for Parkinson’s—coordinating everything with the help of her support workers. 🎨 She runs a monthly art class, teaching painting and bringing people together. 🥊 She leads a weekly boxing class, helping those with Parkinson’s stay active and strong. 🤝 She hosts a monthly Parkinson’s support group, fostering connection and encouragement. Sue’s dedication and passion for helping others is truly inspiring. We couldn’t be prouder of her! 💙 Congratulations Sue! #Parkinsons #CitizenoftheYear #EnableWA #BobbleHeadedNanna
