FGB Turns 50! FGB celebrated its golden anniversary this week, marking 50 years of helping families live a healthier, more natural life. In 1974, Peter Abbott bought Felton Grimwade & Bosisto’s, then a tiny company with a few ‘historical’ brands including Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil, Kruses and Hypol. Along with the Bosisto’s business he inherited its eucalyptus operations, which sparked a decades-long passion for the industry. FGB have pioneered eucalyptus harvesting and bio technology in Australia, since planting over 4 million trees and cementing a reputation as industry leaders and innovators. The company’s brands have also flourished and grown – from humble beginnings, Bosisto's and Euky Bear have grown into multi-category household brands. FGB is still fully Australian family owned - with Peter’s wife Alison on the board of directors, his daughter Tegan Abbott an Executive Director and son-in-law Henry Minson as CEO. The family is proud that FGB Natural Products supports over 100 staff and their families, who are all just as passionate about FGB’s products and its mission. Its story began in 1852 when Melbourne pharmacist Joseph Bosisto began championing the medicinal properties of Australia’s native eucalypts. Since that time the Bosisto's range has grown to include laundry, cleaning, personal care and health products as well as an ever-expanding range of diffusers and aromatherapy blends sold in major supermarkets and pharmacy nationwide. FGB’s other proprietary brands include Euky Bear, now celebrating almost 50 years of caring for Aussie families. We are also the exclusive distributors of Vicks Home Health and Braun Medical devices in Australia & NZ. Eucalyptus oil production is our heart & soul, and we have been harvesting and distilling eucalyptus oil in the Inglewood and Wedderburn district of north east Victoria, since 1852. The oil produced is derived from ‘Blue Mallee’ (Eucalyptus Polybractea) – a high quality medicinal oil, that is a sustainable and renewable resource.
