POLLIE WATCH Five news stories from financial services that you need this week. 1. Treasurer Jim Chalmers was, naturally, very happy that the Reserve Bank cut interest rates. https://lnkd.in/gddBiAjW 2. Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor however slammed the cut and the government’s cost of living initiatives as “too little, too late”. https://lnkd.in/gMNqARg7 3. Senator Bragg has had questions to ASIC “stonewalled”. https://lnkd.in/gy5mGAyX 4. Outgoing Minister for Financial Services Stephen Jones was profiled in The Australian and noted that there were issues in financial services that will need to be sorted out by the next government. https://lnkd.in/gUWwEUWe 5. And it being close to election time, there was a spate of Medicare related pledges. https://lnkd.in/gVnePRAm Anything incorrect or missing, let me know.
