We at Flourish Holistic Services are looking for an experienced and compassionate speech therapist to join our growing team at Tarneit. Job responsibilities As a speech therapist with our organization, your duties will include: 1. Assisting with standardized speech pathology assessments. 2. Drawing up initial assessment reports detailing each participant’s strengths and challenges. 3. Designing customised evidence-based therapy and clinical goals for each client. 4. Providing therapy that is commensurate with the current NDIS guidelines, the participant’s NDIS plan and Flourish Holistic Services’ policies. 5. Developing home practice goals to support the participant’s progress in therapy. 6. Offering recommendations for a comprehensive therapy plan. 7. Planning and monitoring intervention. 8. Completing client profiles like Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder, etc. 9. Coordinating with the parents, guardians and support coordinators to better assist the client in their therapy. 10. Submitting client case notes through our online portal. Desirable qualities The successful candidate shall demonstrate the following qualities: 1. Empathy, patience and compassion. 2. A fast learner and smart improviser. 3. Ability to work autonomously and think out of the box. 4. Ability to correctly assess a participant’s needs and challenges, and suggest recommendations. 5. Ability to administer individualised therapy according to the requirements of a participant. 6. Exceptional communication skills. 7. A sound understanding of the NDIS laws and protocols. 8. A can-do attitude and an optimistic approach to challenges. 9. Keeping abreast of the latest technology and tools used in speech therapy. Qualifications and certifications 1. A recognised tertiary degree in Speech Pathology. 2. Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia. 3. NDIS Worker Screening Check. 4. Knowledge and experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). 5. National Police Check. 6. Working with Children Check. 7. A current driver’s license. Remuneration Depending on your experience and training, the pay may vary. However, you can expect an annual average income of $80,000 to $90,000 excluding super and travel allowance. Our well experienced Support worker are keen to support you with community participation, social activities, assist in providing support in high intensity Care and Personal Care. We work in the best interest of participants in promoting their needs to achieve their goals in long term. Our well experienced cleaners will assist you in detailed cleaning and maintaining your home environment to maintain hygiene and cleanliness. At Flourish Holistic Services we provide assistance to High Care Needs, Complex behaviours, low care needs and mental health care. We have experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual disability, Physical Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, Vision impaired, Deaf and difficulty in hearing and Mental Health Conditions.
