This week Foreground hosted a morning tea celebrating Diwali, the festival of lights. Our office was buzzing with cultural diversity as we indulged in a variety of delicious snacks and created beautiful Rangoli design. The atmosphere was warm and festive as we lit diyas and gathered together to wish each other good health, wealth, and prosperity. Happy Diwali!

Introducing Willmott Park Uniting Kindergarten! 🏫 We built a new kinder at Willmott Park Primary School. It is now open and provides: 🎨 3 beautiful kinder rooms 🤾♂️ dedicated outdoor learning and play spaces 🚸 space for 99 kids at a time. Having a kinder at the school makes drop-off easier for some families and can help local kids make a smoother transition to big school when the time comes. A space to train thousands of future Victorian tradespeople. 🛠️ We are on the home stretch at the RMIT University Trades and Innovation Hub! 👊✈️ We couldn't be prouder of the incredible work completed by our team so far. The new building is set to provide trade and engineering students with a space that mirrors real-world job conditions, allowing them to hone their skills in a truly hands-on environment. With new targets and standards being introduced by the Australian Government within the construction industry, the demand for tradespeople is growing - especially when it comes to boosting the participation of women in apprenticeships and trades. By encouraging diversity and providing opportunities for people hoping to enter the industry, facilities like the RMIT Trades and Innovation Hub are needed now more than ever! In partnership with Foreground Architecture we've been delivering this state-of-the-art brand new facility. Works have not only included civil works, landscaping and services upgrades, but also includes unique fixtures and fittings designed to enhance the learning experience. One of the standout features is the 2.5 metre deep sandpit, specifically designed for the simulation, teaching and learning of complex trades. This project represents a significant step forward in education and training. We can't wait to see the impact it will have on future generations of skilled professionals! Foreground Architecture is excited to share the new Clyde North Police Station is set to start construction. Designed by Foreground Architecture as Principal Consultants, the new $30 million state of the art facility will support Victoria Police to better service the community in the south eastern growth corridor. Drawing on our knowledge and experience working with Victoria Police for over 20 years, our focus is on bringing human-centric and biophilic principles to develop an environment that promotes wellbeing for staff and visitors; and to create a safe and welcoming environment that not only engages with, but also contributes to the surrounding community. Completed Project | Student Village Melbourne - Student Space Enhancement Foreground is proud to share the recently completed Student Village Melbourne Enhanced Study Space for Campus Living Villages. The project focussed on the conversion of an existing study lounge to an enhanced study space. Our Interiors team developed spatial and furniture concepts to create zones for different types of study tasks to give students a variety of choices and create a calming relaxing space that would also act as an breakout space as an extension of their living spaces. Completed project | Beechworth Primary School modernisation One of the best ways to maintain historic buildings is to keep them relevant to the communities they serve. Built in 1875, the heritage-listed Beechworth Primary School is an example of significant educational architecture returned to its former glory. Tackling quality, maintenance and approachability issues through an extensive restoration, refurbishment and new addition program, Foreground delivered contemporary learning facilities defined by welcome, amenity and intuitive flow.
