    Building Products & Studying Entrepreneurs

🎯 An ex-pastor built a $1.3M agency using LinkedIn as their primary distribution channel. Guy and I recently interviewed Anthony Pierri 🎸 Pierri from FletchPMM, and the numbers blew my mind: → 11-12M people reached on LinkedIn annually → 95% of clients come from LinkedIn → $7.5K-$10K per project → 13-17 companies served monthly The fascinating part? Their LinkedIn strategy breaks conventional wisdom: 1. They give away their frameworks for free (They've made $50K by selling these frameworks in a $50 database) 2. Content flywheel: • Do client work • Extract insights • Share on LinkedIn • Attract new clients • Repeat 3. Two types of posts that drive their growth: → Super-specific how-to guides (their exact process) → Spiky opinions that challenge industry norms 🔑 Key insight: Most worry about "giving away too much." They flip this fear: Share expertise freely, sell implementation. The results speak for themselves - from $3K to $10K per project as their audience grew. What resonated with me: Like how Guy Ligertwood and I met before Testimonial Donut, Anthony met his co-founder (Robert Kaminski 🎯) at their previous job. Sometimes your next chapter starts where you are. Read full story on Founderoo, link in comments ⬇️ #LinkedInGrowth #StartupStrategy #ContentMarketing --- 👋 Hey! I'm Farzan, and I'm building Testimonial Donut with Guy Ligertwood in public. 🎯 Our mission: Helping busy business owners collect and showcase their reviews and testimonials in ways that win them more business.

Every so often we get a founder story on Founderoo that we didn't think we'd get. If you're interested in marketing for your tech startup and more specifically your landing page messaging this is a must-read. No bullshit you need to be following this founder, his content is gold. Here's the fascinating story of Anthony Pierri 🎸: Growing audiences has always been part of Anthony's DNA. At 11, he started a band with his brothers, selling out local venues by age 14. Years later, he'd become a pastor leading a congregation of 75+ volunteers. But after 11 years in ministry, Anthony needed a change. Despite years of promotions, an entry-level sales role at a software agency offered better pay than his pastor position. It was here he discovered his true calling - product marketing for tech startups. Working at the agency, Anthony and his cofounder Robert were tasked with creating a more scalable service. Their approach? Use LinkedIn to test what resonates with the market. The results were unexpected but clear: their content about product positioning and homepage messaging struck a chord. As their audience grew, inbound requests started flowing. Founders wanted help to implement the frameworks they were sharing. Their growth strategy was beautifully simple: ↳ Share detailed how-to content about their exact process ↳ Take strong, contrarian positions on industry practices ↳ Post consistently (3-4 times weekly) with real results ↳ Turn client work into content that attracts similar clients This created a powerful flywheel: ↳ 1. Work with clients ↳ 2. Turn insights into LinkedIn content ↳ 3. Reach millions of potential clients ↳ 4. Convert followers into customers The numbers tell the story: ↳ 11M+ people reached yearly on LinkedIn ↳ 300+ venture-backed clients served ↳ 13-17 new clients monthly at $10K per project ↳ $1.3M in annual revenue The most interesting part? They give away their entire process for free. "Several companies won't work with us because we've told them exactly how to run our process," Anthony explains. "But there's also a very large group of founders who don't have the time to do it themselves." This radical transparency even led to an unexpected revenue stream - they packaged their LinkedIn content into a Notion database and sold it for $50, generating an extra $50K. The lesson? Building in public and giving away your expertise can help you win more business. Trust and proven results seem to trump secrecy. Oh, and he still finds time to play in a band with 110K monthly Spotify listeners. Because why build just one audience when you can build two? If you want to see Anthony's classic band shot go read the full story. Link in the comments. 👇 Anthony Pierri 🎸 Robert Kaminski 🎯 Farzan M. #founderstories #entrepreneurs --------------- If you want to follow along, I run Testimonial Donut with Farzan Maghami: We regularly post on LinkedIn, sharing the real ups and downs of building a SaaS business.

📈 The Distribution Playbook That Helped SaasRock Reach $6.5K MRR—and What Didn’t Work 🚫 Every week, I dive into founder stories through Founderoo. Recently, I’ve been obsessed with cracking the distribution code—and the lessons that come from what doesn’t work. This week’s spotlight: SaasRock. With over 200 paying customers and $6.5K MRR in just two years, Alexandro Martínez has turned a niche SaaS boilerplate into a sustainable business while navigating the tricky path of distribution. Here’s the quick breakdown: ✅ What Worked: 👉 SEO + Articles: Platforms like Dev.to and Medium were key to driving early traffic. 👉 YouTube: 42 videos sharing guides and updates helped build trust and visibility. (Side note: I’ve been thinking about starting a YouTube channel myself—Alexandro’s success is inspiring!) 👉 Community Building: A 300-member Discord group became a great way to engage users. 👉 Social Proof: Reviews on Trustpilot boosted credibility. 👉 Building in Public: Sharing his journey openly attracted like-minded people. 🚫 What Didn’t Work: 👉 Newsletters: Stalled at 270 subscribers—likely because they focused too much on product updates rather than delivering free value. 👉 Product Hunt: Waiting too long to launch meant missing out on early momentum. 👉 Reddit: Posts flagged as self-promotion resulted in minimal traction. 💡 Takeaway: Value-driven content that aligns with your audience’s habits can unlock your best distribution channels. Revisiting your strategies with fresh eyes can reveal lessons you may have missed the first time. We love showcasing founders and promoting their products or businesses to help them get the visibility they deserve. If you’re ready to share your authentic story and be transparent about it, drop me a message—I’d love to feature your journey on Founderoo. 👉 Read Alexandro’s full story on Founderoo—link in the comments. #Founders #Entreprenurship #Startups #Bootstrapped Guy Ligertwood
