🎉Congratulations to Fox Footy's Kelli Underwood who has been recognised with an Order of Australia for Services to Broadcasting in this year's Australia Day Honours.    One of Australia's leading sports journalists, hosts and commentators over a 25 year career in the industry, Kelli Underwood made history by becoming the first women to commentate an AFL match on television and radio in 2009.    At Foxtel Group she is a regular panellist on FOX SPORTS Australia’s The Back Page, calls AFL and AFLW on Fox Footy and recently launched our new show AFLW on Fox, championing the game and bringing our audience closer to the action during what became Australia's most watched AFLW season of all time.    "This is fantastic recognition for a genuine broadcasting trailblazer," commended Michael Neill General Manager, Fox Footy at FOX SPORTS Australia.   "Our Fox Footy colleague Gerard Whateley said it best when he inducted Kel as a Life Member of the Australian Football Media Association in 2021: 'For Kelli Underwood to achieve her dream she had to do it all herself – crack the stereotypes, explode the perceptions and excel in the face of scrutiny that few of us would encounter. Kelli is a global pioneer in the coverage of sports and we are lucky to have her passion, ability and courage within our footy industry.'   "We couldn’t agree more." #AustraliaDay #AustraliaDay2025 #OrderOfAustralia #AFL #AFLW #AustralianBroadcasting #LifeAtFoxtelGroup #FoxFooty #KelliUnderwood

  • We’re thrilled to welcome four-time AFL Premiership champion and respected analyst Shaun Burgoyne to the Fox Footy team, ahead of an epic 2025 AFL season on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.   He joins our esteemed lineup of sporting legends and fan favourites who will be offering comprehensive commentary on all AFL games for the first time, live in 4K with no ad-breaks during play.   “Shaun is a straight shooter with a trusted opinion and has earned the respect of all football fans,” says Steve Crawley, Fox Sports Managing Director. “He is football royalty and he wants to work at Fox Footy.”   With Kayo Sports and Foxtel the only place to watch AFL live on a Saturday for at least the first eight rounds nationally and at least the first 15 rounds in Victoria as part of Super Saturday Live, fans can look forward to our best ever 2025. #FoxSports #AFL #Foxtel

FOX SPORTS Australia has been shortlisted for Employer of the Year in B&T’s Women in Media Awards 2024 for changing the game by championing women’s careers both in front of and behind the camera in sports.   Eighteen months ago, Fox Sports began this game-changing move to boost gender balance, transform organisational culture, and build a workplace where every employee feels like part of the starting lineup.   Initiatives such as the Respect Project, Elevate HER Voice Coaching, Women in Sports Media graduate program, and career pathways for elite NRL and AFL athletes were implemented to advance the recruitment, development, and retention of talented women.    The results speak volumes – we have seen a remarkable threefold increase in women’s career mobility and soaring engagement scores.   We’re proud to be the only broadcasting and streaming organisation amongst the esteemed group shortlisted for Employer of the Year in recognition of our track record not just talking the talk but walking the walk. Congratulations to all the finalists, and a special thanks to B&T and to all our colleagues who have contributed to changing the game.    #lifeatfoxtelgroup #WomenInMedia #EmployerOfTheYear #DiversityAndInclusion #ChampioningWomensCareers Kayo Sports #BandT #BandTWomeninMediaAwards #BandTAwards
