We are thrilled to announce that we’ve formed a strategic alliance with Ethos Urban. No other firm in the country will be as active as we are across as many markets with in-depth local expertise to match. The alliance means we now offer a broader range of services across a wider geographical area and our clients will find it easier to expand interstate by leveraging our national reach and network. Our shared values made this a natural fit and we look forward to working on some truly nation-shaping projects with the Ethos Urban team. Officially open for business! We’re excited to see the Fort Largs community hub join this thriving destination, a long-closed icon of South Australia's past, reinvigorated as a vibrant neighbourhood space. This restoration is part of a larger $170 million development, including the construction of over 200 new homes. Future Urban was proud to support developer Peet Limited in bringing this vision to life, securing all necessary planning approvals for both the residential estate and the adaptive reuse of this State Heritage-listed site — designed to minimise alterations and preserve the structure’s rich history. This milestone, bridging history and modern living, wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our own Emily Nankivell and Michael Osborn MBA GAICD. We value the trust afforded to us by Mark Devine and Iain McPhillips to deliver this challenging yet extremely rewarding project and applaud the work of the whole project team, the heritage response curated by Jason Schulz and the collaborative approach of all stakeholders including the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. The community hub will provide new and existing locals with improved access to food producers, a wider range of dining options and finally public access to the iconic heritage Fort. A major success milestone for The Quarter precinct, with its first release already sold out. A big thank you to Future Urban's Belinda Monier and Emily Nankivell for assisting in the stakeholder/community engagement, as well as the land division application and approval process.
The first set of homes as part of Villawood Properties $350m redevelopment of Morphettville Racecourse have been snapped up in a heartbeat. The first tranche of The Quarter precinct featured 10 boutique designs with price points from $599K to $1.569M. Buyer interest was huge, with 40 registrations of interest lodged in just five minutes when the offer went live. Check Nine News video below and The Advertiser's report: https://lnkd.in/gU8SxyFv

In the wake of hybrid working and reduced demand for office spaces, things are shifting on 80 King William Street. We’ve now got planning consent for the upcoming Veriu Apartments, which is set to become 188 serviced apartments developed by Pelligra®. Thanks to our own Jason Cattonar for leading the planning of this exciting project. The 5,000 sqm space will provide a mix of modern studios, interconnected studios and one-bedroom suites in the heart of the CBD with tram access at the doorstep. Ahead of converting the vacant office space in December this year, the project demonstrates where the benefits of adaptive reuse and repurposing spaces can become challenging with the current government codes. As SA navigates the ever-so-present housing crisis and other shifting commercial demands, could Adaptive Reuse be the answer? Hosted by the Property Council of Australia and co-sponsored by the Future Urban x Ethos Urban alliance, today’s Adaptive Reuse Lunch is a future-shaping event and conversation — unearthing the true benefits and challenges of its use in urban development. A very special mention to Emily Nankivell & Nick Brisbane who took to the stage with today’s discussion, alongside Trevor Cooke, Nick Roach, Yaara Plaves & Michael Bennett. Together with the State Government and the City of Adelaide, we hope to lead SA towards more innovative opportunities — old bones or new.

It’s great to see the steel framework starting to take shape at Port Adelaide for the new Natrio and Koch Fertiliser Distribution Facility. This is one of the major industrial plans that Future Urban led in the past 12 months — with Christopher Webber taking the reins on this particular project. We'll be watching to see how it progresses!
