📣 Out Now: Read the Institute’s Global Status of CCS 2024 report. 💡 The report shows remarkable progress for CCS over the last year, revealing: 📈 There are 628 projects in various stages of development and operation globally, illustrating an increase of 236 projects compared to the previous year 🏗 The cumulative CO2 capture capacity for projects in the CCS pipeline is now 416 Mtpa, representing a 32% Compound Annual Growth Rate since 2017. 🔎 The case for CCS globally is further being bolstered by strengthening policy, new carbon management business models and strong interest in CCS hubs and networks 🌏 As countries around the world prioritise achieving net-zero, collaboration is key to overcoming the challenges we face in global decarbonisation. 📣 New Brief: Read the Institute's latest publication highlighting Carbon Management in Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). 🌍 NDCs outline the actions and efforts that countries are making to reduce emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
