This has been our strength consistently over the last 30 years, and will continue to be our focus. As an Australian family run business operating in a global market, we take our corporate social responsibilities very seriously. We are committed to supporting various community and environmental initiatives, including playing our part to reduce carbon footprints and engaging in sustainable environmental practices wherever possible. Global Axis are strong advocates of Australia’s mushroom and horticulture industries. Today's International Volunteers Day celebrates and recognises the contributions of volunteers worldwide. Putting the spotlight on Rudi and Annette, Directors of Global Axis, who have been volunteering with Foodbank SA & NT for 5 years. Rudi and Annette volunteer at the Foodbank Hub in Christies Beach every Monday morning and have done so for the past few years. Rudi unloads pallets as they are delivered and restocks the storeroom, fridges, freezers and shelves whilst Annette is in the shopfront bagging fruit and veg whilst restocking shelves and the fridges and freezers, making sure all foods are in date and the floors are clean. All whilst getting the opportunity to speak and help clients. This support is as crucial as ever, as the 2024 Foodbank Hunger Report reveals a critical level of food insecurity in Australia, with nearly half of low-income households experiencing food shortages this year—the highest rate since the start of the cost-of-living crisis. See the full Foodbank Hunger Crisis here: https://brnw.ch/21wPcpH Find out more about volunteering here: https://brnw.ch/21wPcpG Video captured at Store27 Pooraka when the Global Axis team volunteered. #endhunger #foodbanksant #foodbank #globalaxis #volunteer #charity #help #foodcharity

It feels like only yesterday that Jody Williston from Theriault & Hachey Peat Moss Ltd. was here in Adelaide, flying in from Canada. Carmine Callisto and I took this opportunity to visit Ashley Burns at Living Colour Nursery. It was great to see first-hand the use of peat moss in the growth of seedlings at the nursery. Living Colour Nursery, a family-owned business in South Australia, has been operating in Penfield for over 35 years. They specialise in seedlings, flowering annuals, perennials and landscaping packs for the retail sector. This video delves into how we work alongside champions Jody and Ash to ensure a seamless supply chain. This isn’t just a story about an EV, it’s a story about rethinking waste and exploring sustainable solutions that could inspire industries globally. 📖 Read more about Kia's EV3 study here: https://lnkd.in/dP7chnzf
