✨🏳️🌈 This year, our employees proudly marched in solidarity with Pride in Diversity at the PrideFEST Parade! 💬James Sawyer - Executive sponsor for the Perth Mint with Pride ERG says, "supporting LGBTQ+ pride in the workplace is essential to creating a culture where everyone feels valued and respected. By encouraging an inclusive environment, we enable employees to bring their whole selves to work, which strengthens both collaboration and innovation. It also sends a clear message that our organisation stands by all employees, empowering them to contribute their best work and feel a true sense of belonging.” Thank you to everyone who marched alongside us to show their support, and our team members who work together to create an inclusive workplace. ✨ Last week, we wrapped up our 125th anniversary celebrations at The Perth Mint with a celebration in the forecourt of our heritage East Perth premises. It was wonderful to welcome His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM, Governor of Western Australia, and Mrs Darrilyn Dawson, as well as our Minister, the Honourable David Michael MLA to celebrate with us. Owned by the people of Western Australia, The Perth Mint has been making coins and bars and supporting the Australian gold industry for 125 years. We are also proud to offer one of Perth’s leading tourism experiences through our popular Gold Tour and Exhibition. We are respectful of the rich history of the Mint while also focusing on the future, as we find new, innovative and responsible ways to meet the needs of all our valued customers in the precious metals industry. #ThePerthMint125 #ThePerthMint

😱 You wouldn’t believe what we found hiding underneath our coining press room! During some recent engineering work in the coining division, workers cut through a concrete floor and revealed a brick-lined pit containing two large gears that were fabricated in 1896! They were soon identified as the main driving gears for the original rolling mills, as seen in this 1919 image from the State Library of Western Australia archives. ✨ Meet Hui-Lee Foo who celebrated 30 years working at The Perth Mint this year ✨ Her role in the Mint’s finance team was Hui-Lee’s first job in Perth after moving from Malaysia and she fondly remembers celebrating our centenary in 1999 with her two sons. 💬 “Both my sons are now engineers, and they had the benefit of six months working in the Mint’s coining division to fulfill their industry training requirement for their university study. As a family we were grateful for that. It was a wonderful opportunity for them,” Hui-Lee says. Read Hui-Lee’s full story | https://ow.ly/VGRZ50U7zUC #ThePerthMint #ThePerthMint125

Our CEO, Paul Graham recently joined CEOs for Gender Equity to talk about our ongoing journey to create more equal opportunities in our workplace. As at 30 June 2024, 49% of our workforce were women and we reduced the gender pay gap to 10% - significantly lower than WA’s state average of 21.7%. 💬 “Of course, equity is more than simple statistics. I want to see women aspire to and achieve success at all levels of our organisation and am determined to do everything I can to enable everyone at the Mint to reach their full potential,” says Paul. Some of our team, including Sophie M., Kati R., James Robinson, Ellisha Reynolds, Kevin Kaharudin and Benjamin M., also enjoyed the glamour of the night with its highly appropriate ‘golden era’ theme. ✨ Meet Susie Ranalli – a key player in our retail coin team ✨ Susie joined the Mint over 30 years ago as a relief telephonist and dispatch clerk taking on the entire operation of packing and dispatching bullion orders. 💬 She recalls the Sydney Olympics in 2000 as a huge milestone for the Mint and says, “for me the year before 2000 was very busy. I remember I was pregnant at the time, and I was sending off so many coins to subscribers. There were new gold and silver coins each month. It was such a popular series.” Read Susie’s story | https://ow.ly/mxYA50TVWTO #ThePerthMint #ThePerthMint125
