R&A Women in Golf Charter The Australian Government has endorsed the R&A’s Women in Golf Charter, throwing its weight behind the efforts of Golf Australia in engaging with women and girls to lead and play in the sport. The Federal Minister for Sport, the Hon. Anika Wells MP, signed the endorsement at Parliament House in Canberra at the annual Australian Parliamentary Friends of Golf event. The Minister also joined the Australian Golf Foundation Scholarship holders on the Callaway Pitch and Putt course at the BMW Australian PGA Championship in Brisbane. The budding young players came from across Queensland to attend the event which included playing tips and a behind-the-scenes look at the tournament.

🎉 Celebrating Progress, Driving Change! 🏌️♀️👧👨👩👧 The R&A Women in Golf Charter is more than a promise - it's a commitment to creating a sport where everyone belongs. Together, we’re working towards a brighter, more inclusive future for women, girls, and families. The Inaugural R&A Women in Golf Charter Awards were held on Friday November 29 at Huntingdale Golf Club in Melbourne's Sandbelt and hosted by W&G Steering Group Chair Jeannene O’Day. The awards are designed to recognise and reward the efforts of engaged R&A Charter signatory clubs and facilities, showcase their successes, and celebrate the progress within the industry towards increased participation and leadership opportunities for women and girls. 💪 Progress is happening! Let’s keep the momentum going and inspire more participation in golf for generations to come. Huge congratulations to our nominees and award winners! In late November Golf Australia attended The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER Australia) conference at Monash University. The theme of the conference was 'Discover. Create. Innovate.', and invited Victorian teachers to learn about inspirational ideas for teaching in a dynamic landscape. Golf Australia's team showcased and promoted the MyGolf Schools program in the trade exhibition, with 600 teachers in attendance able to learn about the program and experience the equipment offering. Our MyGolf National Programs Manager, Ashlee Clark was also invited by ACHPER as a guest speaker to present to the industry attendees on the Engage and Elevate Sport panel, with a focus on harnessing schools to boost community sport participation. Finally, PGA Professional Linda Mew delivered a practical session showcasing just some of the many Mini Golf, Pitch & Putt and Swing It program activities available on the Coachmate App, highlighting the ease with which teachers can go on to deliver Golf as part of their PE curriculum back at school. Thanks for having us ACHPER! ❤️
