A big thanks to Hilltops Free Range eggs for hosting myself and Sven J Ullrich from Hyatt Regency Sydney on our “circular egg” road trip. The vast open plains where the chickens roam was breathtakingly beautiful, and it was a real pleasure to see how much the chickens loved the insect protein. They are quite literally mad for it! The “circular egg” is a collaboration whereby GOTERRA process the Hyatt Regency Sydney’s food waste on site, by harnessing the power of robotics and insects inside one of our MIBS. We then separate the Black Soldier Fly Larvae 🐛 from the frass offsite at our hubs and process them into a sustainable, high protein feed. We supply the insect protein to Hilltops Free Range Eggs, who feed it to their very happy chickens 🐓 who lay the eggs 🥚 which end up back on the Hyatt Regency Sydney’s breakfast table 🍳 Completing the loop.
