Last week we held our Annual Staff Service Awards for those that have reached significant service milestones – from five years up to 45 years! Staff who had reached milestones of 25 years and above were invited to attend service recognition ceremonies. Many staff receiving awards reflected on the connections they have made with their colleagues and the people they have cared for over the years, as well as the difference their work makes to the people in our region. Congratulations to all award recipients! We sincerely appreciate all your hard work and the contributions you have made to GV Health and our community.

Earlier this week, we held our Annual General Meeting and handed out some annual staff awards for the financial year gone by. Our winners are... Excellence in Consumer Experience award: Tia Smith, Clinical Nurse Specialist. Living the Values award: Sharon Clark, Alcohol and Other Drugs Intake and Administration Clinician. CREATE Outstanding award: Kim Read, Divisional Operations Director - Medical and Critical Care. CREATE Outstanding Team award: Euroa Transition Team. Health Safety and Wellbeing representative of the year: Janine Solomon, Mary Coram Unit. Patient Centred Care award: Dr Mohammoud AlBonajem, intern. Consumer Participation in Quality Improvement award: Mental Health Lived Team CREATE Outstanding Nursing and Midwifery Award: Tanya Kuiper, Safety, Quality and Experience Manager. Last week Euroa Hospital had a barbecue to mark 100 days since transitioning from Euroa Health to GV Health. It was a chance to celebrate and reflect on how far the hospital has come since becoming a part of the Victorian public health system.
