For those of you who have been following our GovHack journey - and those of you just tuning in - I’m beyond excited to share some exciting news! Team URL, made up of Lillian Jiang and Ujjavala Singh and I, took home the win for the Place-Based Insights Unlocked: Generative AI x Digital Atlas of Australia challenge at GovHack 2024! Back in September, we dove into a 46-hour hackathon and came out with a proof of concept and a pitch that we’re incredibly proud of. Our project, Haven, earned the prestigious National Challenge Award sponsored by Treasury and Geoscience Australia. Haven represents our vision for resilient communities - empowering individuals, businesses, government agencies and other emergency and recovery support organisations effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters. Some of its standout features include: 🔍 Predictive analytics and AI to drive smarter disaster planning  📱A dynamic app designed for individuals and businesses 📊 Dashboards offering actionable insights for emergency response This win is just the beginning, and it’s fuelled our passion to create safer, more resilient communities.
