Ever felt lost or frustrated by the healthcare information you received? Imagine being on the other side. Our healthcare professionals face the daunting task of communicating complex medical concepts to diverse patient populations daily, and they are not provided with acceptable tools to help them with this task. Health literacy in Australia isn't just a problem; it's a crisis. It's time to make a change #HealthLiteracy #PatientCare #HealthcareInnovation #EquitableHealthcare

Listen, we need to talk.... It's about Health Literacy; we need to do better! #equitablehealthcare #accessibility #healthaccess
Everyone is obsessed about generative AI and other shiny objects. Imagine we spent that much time and money on GENUINELY trying to improve health literacy and patient outcomes? 🤔 Don’t get me wrong - emerging and new tech brings such great potential to revolutionise how things are done in health. AI/ML, Genomics, Quantum Computing, VR/AR, Decentralisation etc - they’re all technologies that are going to play a great role in how healthcare is delivered. And I’m sure this will all create a few new interesting jobs and philosophical questions to keep us busy, some people will have fun building these things, and a handful of individuals will get rich along the way… But I don’t think many know that we’re leaving a lot of people - real people - behind in this process. Healthcare is a people problem. We need relationships, trust, and connection. We’ve lost that along the way... and this is just the beginning… So what do we do about it? Tune into the latest episode of Talking HealthTech this week on your favourite podcast player or YouTube to hear from Chris Pymble from Graphics et al. speak with Sophie Turner about bridging the gap between patients and the system. #healthcare #healthtech #digitalhealth #patientexperience
