Our GRC team members, friends and family joined over 2,000 amazing supporters taking part in this years' Walk for Awareness. This was our opportunity to show support for one of our own and his family who have sadly been impacted by suicide and to help raise mental health awareness. It was a powerful display of camaraderie and support from our team (including those who joined us virtually) and a great morning soaking in the sunshine and spectacular views of our beautiful city. Last week, our GRC&Me Social and Cultural Committee provided us with an amazing opportunity to volunteer at the FareShare Charity Kitchen, allowing a number of our team members to Make a Difference while enjoying a fun and engaging team-building activity. FareShare rescues 10 tonnes of surplus food each week, transforming it into nutritious meals which are distributed to frontline charities across Queensland and northern NSW. We saw first hand the hard work that goes into creating the meals and were able to learn of the impact FareShare has had in our community. Our team was proud to contribute to this vital mission by packing 2,681 meals, taking the kitchen's total to over 7,000,000 prepared meals helping families in need with dignity and care. #GRCandMe #GRCQuantitySurveyors #CorporateVolunteering #Teambuilding

We’re thrilled to celebrate the growth and achievements of our talented team through our GRC&Me Career Program.   Recently, we had the pleasure of promoting three of our team members: - Yee Kiat (Kelvin) Hu joined us six years ago and has honed his skills through the mentorship of our senior team. Congratulations to Kelvin on his well-deserved promotion to Senior Quantity Surveyor! - Euan Grigg started with GRC through our cadetship program and has rapidly advanced his expertise in pre- and post-contract services. We’re excited to see him step into his new role as Quantity Surveyor. - Leonard Quinn brought his extensive construction knowledge to GRC when he joined last year, and has since made significant strides in Quantity Surveying. Brunei's first Olympic Gold at the GRC CostX Olympics! Taking a unique approach to training, this week we hosted the CostX Olympics with Brunei, Australia and South Africa battling it out across a range of events all relating to efficiency, accuracy and process. Our GRC&Me Career Program has been a great catalyst for us to approach professional development in a completely unique and creative way and has become a platform for learning, sharing tips and tricks and creating our ultimate property and construction professionals. Amidst challenging living costs, BHC Creating Liveable Communities' Sutton Apartments are a beacon of hope for vulnerable Aussies. Part of the State Government’s Housing Investment Fund, the project will soon provide 82 homes for people in need, aged 55+.   Senior Project Manager, Pretesh Khushal (CEng) says construction is progressing quickly, 'Excavation to basement level is now complete, and the crane has been erected and commissioned - we are building upwards!'   With fellow TSA team members Chris Safonoff and Elizabeth (Libby) Crocker, Pretesh is providing full project management services from the project's concept design stage through to construction and delivery. What a way to start a project!   SPG LAND and Multiplex hosted an incredible event to introduce the Multiplex sub-contractors to Paradiso Place, a high rise residential tower located in the heart of the Gold Coast. Guests were able to see the vision for the Rothelowman designed luxury residential development and hear from Glenn Robinson on the approach for construction.
