Researchers fabricate flexible perovskite solar cells on polycarbonate films. Despite polycarbonate's widespread use in many applications, poor chemical resistance and roughness have hindered its adoption as a substrate in solar cell technologies. Indoor perovskite PVs that can replace disposable batteries and charger cables. Australian start-up Halocell will reportedly begin producing flexible 7 centimeter-long photovoltaic strips that are said to generate enough power to replace the pair of disposable batteries in a TV remote, or the charger cable for a set of headphones. We’re expanding our team and looking for an amazing engineer! We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Wagga Wagga, NSW! Halocell is Australia’s chance to once again lead the world in photovoltaics and be the global leader of perovskite manufacturing. In this new role you will be responsible for new product development projects, driving excellence in existing Roll-2-Roll manufacturing technologies, while striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. Requirements 1. Minimum Australian PR required. 2. Degree qualification in process engineering or other technical manufacturing related field and additional, significant experience. 3. Strong experience in all phases of product development, manufacturing scale up and BAU operations, including integrated quality, safety, and environmental systems (preferably ISO). 4. Demonstrated high level stakeholder management skills to positively engage and collaborate on production activities. 5. Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description. 6. Practical approach to problem solving, including the willingness to be “hands on” in the factory when required. 7.
