Thank you to those who attended our Western Business Leaders - NDIS Networking Event on Wednesday evening! More than 100 NDIS industry professionals joined us at the Healthy Living Precinct to hear about market changes, gaps, and updates within the NDIS landscape, connect with like-minded businesses, and understand how council can facilitate partnerships and future collaborations. Following this, Sharon facilitated a panel discussion with local NDIS providers, Cass of Power To Move and Roisin Mcilduff of Behaviour for Learning, who have accessed support through the Business Support grant program. On Friday 3rd of May, SAPSA - South Australian Pharmacy Students' Association will be holding their annual trivia night to fundraise for a special cause. The Healthy Collective is one of the key sponsors of this event, as one of the many things that we do, is empower pharmacists to be pharmacists, working with other practitioners, organisations and consumers to achieve efficient, meaningful and sustainable healthcare improvement. Another fulfilling morning celebrating women. Our latest topic, an introduction to starting your own business for the Adelaide Tamil Association. With 105 cultures already in our community this was a wonderful opportunity to empower Tamil speaking women and help them settle in the City of Charles Sturt. Big thank you to Rachel Kammerman, IntoJobs for helping me to facilitate this workshop on the practical steps that need to be taken when starting a business. I look forward to hearing more from our attendees as they embrace self-employment and the economic freedom which can lead to increased social benefits, self-esteem and self-confidence. A special thank you to Devi Ashok, Women’s Wing leader of the Adelaide Tamil Association and Mayor Angela Evans for helping to make this happen.
