This holiday season, the team at Hesperia is giving back to the community. We're proud to announce that we've donated 100kg of food to OzHarvest as part of their Christmas Drive. It’s a small way to make a big impact and support those in need during this festive season. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and helped us reach this goal. At Hesperia, we are proud to support initiatives that drive meaningful sustainability outcomes in our community. This year, we were delighted to fund the energy audit for Perth City Farm, a non-profit organisation promoting sustainable living. The audit provided valuable baseline energy data and actionable recommendations to inform their Sustainability Plan. Our relationship with Perth City Farm began through the food gardens at Victoria House, and it has been rewarding to continue supporting their mission in new ways. Helping others understand and improve their sustainability outcomes is central to our values, and we are excited to see the impact this funding will have. Over four days, our team had the opportunity to volunteer at Foodbank WA, making a positive impact in our community. Together, we packed essential food items, cooked meals and helped organise supplies for those in need. Volunteering not only strengthens our bond as a team but also reinforces our commitment to giving back. It’s incredible to see the difference we can make when we come together for a common cause. A huge thank you to Foodbank for the chance to contribute, and to all our staff who participated.

We are thrilled to share that Murdoch Square has been awarded the Judge's Award at the 2024 Urban Development Institute of Australia (WA) Awards for Excellence. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone who worked on the project. Congratulations to the other category winners and finalists.
Massive congratulations to the project team from Hesperia & Aegis Health for receiving a Judges’ Award at the 2024 UDIA WA Awards for Excellence for Murdoch Square! Murdoch Square is an impressive mixed-use and healthcare precinct spanning 1.2 hectares and featuring a Hotel, Aged Care, specialist medical suites, medi-hotel, commercial offices, 14 build-to-rent residences; plus 13 specifically designed SDA apartments, early learning centre, retail, food and beverage operators. The judges were particularly impressed by how the project overcame a seemingly insurmountable challenge, delivering a large variety of uses in such a way that they all work harmoniously together, whilst also drawing together the fragmented surrounding areas. Murdoch Square is a vibrant and inviting new community, bringing much needed activation to an area that is home to some of Perth’s largest hospitals. We extend our thanks to Judges’ Award Sponsor Lavan, Platinum Sponsor Western Australian Planning Commission and Gold Sponsors Lavan and Stantec for their support.

Last week, Hesperia’s Sustainability Manager, Mark Taylor, and our Corporate Social Responsibility Lead, Jo Wilson, had the privilege of giving a lecture and conducting a workshop on ESG reporting at Murdoch University. They were joined by Dr. Tara Zirakbash, a guest industry expert, who provided students enrolled in the Engineering Masters Program with practical insights into the intricacies of ESG reporting. The session was a valuable opportunity for Mark and Jo to share their experiences in achieving sustainable outcomes and the work involved in ESG reporting. Students gained a deeper understanding of the critical role their future engineering careers will play in enhancing companies' sustainability efforts.
