How do we inspire the next generation of innovators to drive sustainability at scale? 🌱 Yesterday, Hubble had the privilege of attending the University of South Australia Enterprising #STEM #Expo -a fantastic showcase where STEM students presented their final-year projects to industry leaders and peers. 🌟 The expo featured remarkable projects across science, IT, engineering, and mathematics, each highlighting the creativity and expertise of UniSA’s talented students. From robotics in healthcare to interactive game design, these projects demonstrated the #future-forward thinking we need in today’s rapidly evolving world. Hubble's vote went to projects focused on #energyEfficiency and the promotion of #sustainable practices at scale -a mission close to our hearts. A huge thank you to #UniSA and all the industry representatives who joined to support these incredible students. We’re excited to see how they will shape the future of technology and sustainability! #STEM #Innovation #UniSA #Networking #FutureTalent #Hubble #TechForGood #Sustainability Ansel Bao Jessie Wang

As of October 4 in South Australia, and previously in NSW, Queensland, and Victoria, the minimum energy efficiency requirement for new homes has increased from 6 to 7 stars. This change means that new houses will be more energy-efficient and cheaper to run. But what about existing homes? There are plans in the works to require an energy efficiency assessment when a home is sold. After all, would you buy a car without knowing how fuel-efficient it was? The government’s timeline for this requirement is mid-2025, but if you can't wait that long, feel free to reach out now.

All Energy Australia day 2! While the conversation at the event largely revolved around #electrification, our cofounder Jim, delivered an insightful talk on the importance of also improving the thermal performance of buildings through #innovation and #technology. Jim highlighted a critical point - going electric alone is not enough to solve the broader issues of energy consumption, #comfort, or building #resilience. Jim demonstrated with #data, that in addition to electrifying homes, addressing the building envelope is essential. Hubble’s #ai optimises material selection and design to improve thermal performance without necessarily increasing building or renovation costs. This balanced approach ensures that properties not only reduce their carbon footprint but also provide lasting comfort and energy efficiency. Thanks to Energy Efficiency Council and event organisers for making this impactful event possible. Stay tuned for updates about Hubble new partnerships and how we’re expanding our reach in the energy efficiency landscape! #EnergyEfficiency #EnergyPoverty #Sustainability #PrivatePublicPartnership #AI #Innovation

All Energy Australia day 1! Our very own COO, Pia Daniells, recently took the stage at #AllEnergyAU where she outlined how Hubble is bridging the gap between private sector #innovation and #localGovernment regulation to tackle one of the most pressing issues of our time -#energyEfficiency and #energyPoverty. Pia emphasised the need for collaborative strategies that bring together governments, businesses, and communities to: ✅ Simplify energy solutions: #AI-driven tools provide clear, actionable insights for households, making energy efficiency accessible to everyone. ✅ Create better regulations: By working closely with local governments, we can align incentives with key energy performance metrics, driving better outcomes for communities and reducing energy poverty. ✅ Empower communities: When households understand their energy consumption, they can make smarter decisions, leading to real cost savings and better energy use. ✅ Innovate for all: Combining AI, data-driven tools, and community engagement, we’re not only addressing energy inefficiencies but also helping to make sustainable living a reality for everyone, especially those most affected by high energy costs. This is more than just technology -it's about collaboration and innovation that drives real change, ensuring everyone benefits from better energy efficiency. With the right incentives, clear metrics, and effective marketing, we can transform energy use in households and build a future where sustainability is achievable for all. Join us on this journey toward a greener, more equitable energy future! A heartfelt thank you to all the panelists for their valuable insights, and a special appreciation to the sponsors and event organisers for making this impactful event possible.
