HUB. MELBOURNE | MEET CLAY Clay Alexander is a dedicated Project Co-ordinator who joined our team mid-2024 to assist with several large-scale residential projects. With a Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) he brings to our team his extreme organisation skills and experience across the disability accommodation sector. His pro-active approach, excellent communication and attention to detail have enabled him to successfully navigate project challenges and assist in progressing live projects with all project stakeholders.

HUB SITE VISIT |  ADELAIDE Progress onsite from a recent PCG visit in Pennington, Adelaide. An industrial project we're managing for our financial client Woodbridge Capital. This project originated from conducting property due diligence for the funder and is anticipated to be completed by March 2025.

OPINION | Stamp Duty Relief for Off-the-plan Labor Government have at last introduced a policy which addresses the demand side of the housing shortage. With recent political focus solely directed towards improving the speed of the Town Planning process, the disconnect between project feasibility health and delivery of new housing supply has largely been ignored. With construction costs, land tax and interest rates remaining high, Hub have witnessed the feasibility difficulties developers are facing in order to reach base profit margin expectations. This has led to the shelving of projects and the delay of much needed housing supply. In short terms, there is no point approving planning permits if they will never be built. Recent stamp duty incentives are the first recent policy to attempt to stimulate demand for off-the-plan apartments. Faster pre-sales and revenue escalation may be the start of improved off-the-plan purchaser demand and the first step towards the next housing delivery cycle.
