IPF plays a critical role in supporting Australian growers by preventing the risk of exotic pests and diseases from entering the country. Led by Martin Gleeson, our logistics team manages the import of 2 million tonnes of products and raw materials into Australia annually, ensuring that every shipment meets rigorous biosecurity standards. By working closely with DAFF and trusted suppliers, we ensure that all products sourced meet IPF’s stringent internal specifications and the needs and expectations of Australian farmers. Discover how IPF contributes to one of the world's strictest set of biosecurity regulations on p.12 of our latest Dig Deep magazine: https://bit.ly/4fbsv7Z

Potassium (K) is essential for regulating moisture in plants. Without sufficient K, crops can experience poor growth, low vigour, and increased risk of disease and frost damage. Across Australian agriculture, potassium levels are critically low, with removal rates more than triple replenishment. Effective K management requires regular soil testing and informed fertiliser decisions. Addressing K deficiencies early is essential, as it is often too late once symptoms appear. Whether growing crops or managing grazing, understanding soil K levels and making informed choices is key for better productivity.
