  • The Marine Hotel - Sports Bar Concept vs. Reality The client had already chosen the bar’s location and installed the large overhead screen, leaving us to design the back bar, internal bar layout, and select the bar cladding. Our challenge was to create a bottle display that complemented the screen above, ensuring a seamless look. Our concept design had more greenery around the screen to enhanced the overall vibe, we’re glad some of it was kept in scope to maintain a natural touch. #bardesign #hospitalitydesign #interiordesign

  • Marine Hotel - Exterior Colour Scheme Changing the exterior colour scheme of a hotel can offer a variety of benefits, including: Enhanced Curb Appeal: A fresh coat of paint can significantly improve the appearance of your hotel, making it more attractive to potential guests. This can lead to increased bookings as first impressions are crucial in the hospitality industry. Rebranding and Identity Reinforcement: A new colour scheme can be part of a broader rebranding effort. By aligning the exterior colours with your brand’s new identity, you can strengthen brand recognition and appeal to a targeted demographic. Increased Market Competitiveness: In a competitive market, a distinctive and attractive exterior can help your hotel stand out. A well-chosen colour scheme can differentiate your property from competitors, making it more memorable to potential guests. Increased Property Value: Regular maintenance, including painting, can increase the overall value of your property. A well-maintained exterior can make your hotel more appealing to buyers or investors. Protection Against Weather Damage: Exterior paint acts as a protective layer against the elements, such as rain, wind, and UV rays. Quality paint can help prevent moisture from seeping into the building, reducing the risk of mold, mildew, and structural damage. Positive Guest Experience: A well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing exterior can enhance the overall guest experience. Guests are more likely to have a positive perception of your hotel if it looks clean and well cared for, which can lead to positive reviews and repeat business. This site has recently (April 2024) been sold to the Buxton family’s retirement arm for $22.65M

  • Yarra Glen Residence - Kitchen Dining Area Our clients have always cherished the corner window for its breathtaking views of the valley. In our redesign of their space, we preserved this beloved dining area where they have gathered for the past 55 years. The updated area now comfortably accommodates eight people, allowing them to enjoy this cherished space with their extended family, children, grandchildren, and friends. The corner booth is upholstered in exquisite green leather from NSW Leather, providing a luxurious and comfortable seating experience. The custom-designed table perfectly complements the space, featuring a tiled top that matches the backsplash, a timber edge stained to match the veneer, and a base that combines black and timber elements for a delicate yet sturdy appearance. This table is not only a stunning piece of art but also an engineering marvel. Leather @nsw_leather_co Lighting @beaconlighting Tiles @academytiles Veneer @gfethers

  • This beautifully renovated residence is nestled in the hilltops of Yarra Glen with the most sensational view into the valley. Neroli and Roger have owned the home for 55 years and hadn’t renovated it since they bought it. It has all the charm of a 70’s home and they wanted to retain the style when renovating their kitchen, dining, and laundry.   Both Neroli and Roger are in their 80’s and are so incredible lovely…Roger asked if we could retain the cork flooring because he keeps dropping things and plates bounce on the cork floor…bless!!! So we did and patched it with new cork flooring.   This hard-working family finally wanted to spoil themselves with a more functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen that they could enjoy for years to come, and eventually pass onto their family. The materials selected are just beautiful and include: * Taj Mahal Quarzite from Marcella Granite & Marble – bench tops * Minokoyo Tiles from @academytiles – splashback * Tasmanian Blackwood Vener from @gfethers - joinery * Olive Linoleum from @benchtopcity_duropal – joinery * Bronze joinery handles - @momohandlesaus The end result is absolutely stunning!!! We absolutely loved working on this project, and our clients love it too!

  • Mildura RSL - Lounge and Function Room We were honored to be engaged by Kim Archibald, General Manager of Mildura RSL, to select the furniture and floor finishes for his venue. Kim, along with his architect David Miles, had a clear and well-defined vision for the space. The venue has undergone an extensive renovation, and it was a pleasure to work with both of them. • Illawarra Steelers Club - Bar The brief was to create a sports bar with scullery. We had to obscure the view of the scullery but still allow staff to see through so they could see customers waiting for service. To achieve this we made the wall of the back of bar bottle display out of slump glass, which not only looks great, it succeeds in obscuring the view and allows staff to see the silhouette of customers waiting for service. The colour palette of timber, black, glass with highlights of gold, is a modern twist on the transitional pub palette. It is familiar, moody, a reliable palette, befitting this great sporting club, known as Steelers! If you are ever in Wollongong go check it out!! Years on it still looks great!!
