Effective 1 July 2020 the Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia (CBFCA) and Australian Federation of International Forwarders (AFIF) joined forces to form the International Forwarders & Customs Brokers Association of Australia Ltd. (IFCBAA) to be Australia’s leading national industry Association and an influential voice for customs brokers, international freight forwarders, and other associated groups involved in international trade. Unlike many industry Associations, the IFCBAA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 30772) and our aim is to promote the professional development of our members through training and increased regulatory compliance. Our success is built on consistently providing leadership, information, representation, advocacy, support, compliance training and networking opportunities for members nationally. We meet the professional demands of members and represent members interests in dealings with domestic and international regulatory and industry stakeholders. Fabulous evening last night at the DCN - Daily Cargo News Awards night for 2024 at the beautiful Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees of each category. IFCBAA were the proud sponsor of the Customs Broker of the Year Award which was won by IFC Global Logistics and Warehousing, congratulations to Elvis Bernard and all the IFC team. IFCBAA Director Colin Brame was awarded Highly Commended in this category and we couldn't be prouder, congratulations Colin! The IFCBAA table was the best on the night with our Vice-Chair Peter Andrews, Directors David Finnie and Andrew Hudson, guests Esther Lee, Kim Nguyen and Lance Evans, Scott Carson, Brad Leonard and Jodie Murray, so much fun and laughter.
