  • We invite you to be part of something meaningful! On 27 November and 4 December, come along to our Mosaic Art Workshops where you'll have the chance to create a beautiful mosaic piece for our upcoming IWA Art Exhibition As a community, it's difficult not to feel overwhelmed and disheartened by the ongoing situation in the Middle East. If you're experiencing these emotions, we invite you to take part in our community art workshops. These workshops offer more than just a creative outlet—they’re a meaningful way to raise awareness and amplify the voices of those who often go unheard. It’s a place for us to come together, reflect on our healing process, build resilience, and support one another. We assure you that you’ll find comfort and peace as you listen to the stories of our recent arrivals, all while sharing a meal. No artistic experience is required to participate—our skilled artists will be there to guide you and help you develop the techniques to create your own artwork. This is a FREE program with catering provided. It is important to register so please do so via the link: https://buff.ly/3ApTca9

  • More photos from another session of Brushes of Hope. So much talent - it is just so beautiful to see. Despite the devastating humanitarian situation, we’re reminded that hope and unity can make a real difference. Everyone is invited to join - you don’t need to be an artist — you are all welcome! We have talented artists here to help. All artwork will be auctioned in an exhibition next year & 100% of its proceeds will go to Palestinian arrivals! A big thank-you shout-out goes to Erica Fernandez from Queensland Program of Assistance to Survivors of Torture and Trauma (QPASTT) and Farida Abass from Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Centre (QTMHC) for helping us bring this workshop to the community. There is still time to join the workshop if you would like to sign up! Let’s keep supporting each other and nurturing resilience. Register via this link: https://buff.ly/3ApTca9
