We are pleased to announce that we have, in conjunction with Omni Bridgeway, filed a class action against Johnson & Johnson Pacific concerning their sale of Codral, Sudafed and Benadryl products containing phenylephrine. Investment Manager at Omni Bridgeway | Helping clients obtain litigation funding for class actions and commercial disputes
Yesterday Omni Bridgeway held its panel discussion in Auckland "Charting a course: Developments in Australian class actions and possible implications for New Zealand" hosted by Jacob Kerkin. Nikki Chamberlain provided an insightful overview of the Law Commission's review into class actions and litigation funding, and where matters currently stand. Fionnghuala Cuncannon offered her views on the Court of Appeal's decision in Simons v ASB & ANZ, and rule 4.24. Jan Saddler and I discussed all things CFOs and class closure orders, and likely trends in 2025. It was terrific to be part of such an engaging panel discussion, and meet an amazing bunch of New Zealand lawyers and barristers. I think I might have to come back again soon! #classactions #funding
