In October, we celebrated the successful completion of Octave, a project that exemplifies how environmental constraints can transform into opportunities for residents, the community, and the local ecosystem. Nestled alongside the Royal Botanic Gardens of Cranbourne, Octave faced unique challenges in this environmentally sensitive area. However, through innovative solutions, we created 5.7 hectares of open space, dedicating 21% to active parkland and conservation reserves. Notably, we implemented safe crossing solutions for the Southern Brown Bandicoot and transformed stormwater into vital wildlife habitats. But Octave is not just an environmental triumph; it tells a compelling commercial story too. With 321 lots offering diverse housing options in Melbourne, we achieved remarkable success—selling out in just 37 months, 18 months ahead of schedule. Impressively, 84% of these sales occurred during lockdowns and restrictions, highlighting the project’s relevance and unique appeal in the region. Works have officially begun on Harriott’s newest play space, Hilltop Park, following the recent appointment of landscape contractor, BC Garden Construction. Hilltop Park will be built on a 7,500 sqm site adjacent to Central Park – it is set to boast a multi-sports zone featuring a half-basketball court and netball hoops, a shelter with picnic tables, swings, climbing structures and a sand play area. We’re expecting works on Hilltop Park to be completed mid-2025 providing another exceptional play-space for Armstrong Creek residents in an idyllic address. Dr Andrew A.
