Last Friday 15th November, Dan Majman GAICD, Supply Chain Director (pictured left) and Matt Lonsdale, Head of Supply Chain Development (pictured right) both attended the Supply Chain Logistics Association of Australia awards night which was held in Sydney. Lawrence & Hanson was invited to attend after being nominated as a finalist for the Supply Chain Management Award. To proceed to this stage of the process was a significant achievement in itself, as this award nomination is the premier award category for recognition of demonstrated supply chain excellence and Lawrence & Hanson were competing against many recognised companies. On the evening, Lawrence & Hanson were announced as the winners based on the planning, speed, delivery & effectiveness of the deployment of Project Optimus Prime and the wider Supply Chain Strategy. Many were astounded at the pace of delivery given the complexities associated with automation, innovative storage solutions, wide SKU range and integration of a shifting operating model.
