We are absolutely thrilled to share our achievements at the 2024 Master Landscapers of South Australia (MLSA) Awards of Excellence this past weekend, with LCS taking home three of the coveted industry trophies on the night! The winning LCS projects this year are Paradise Recreation Plaza for ‘Commercial Landscape Construction Exceeding $1m’, Blair Athol North Primary School’s wetlands and outdoor learning space (design and construct) for ‘Most Environmentally Sensitive Project’, and Australian Naval Infrastructure Landscape Management for ‘Commercial Landscape Maintenance’. A huge congratulations to our incredible team, our fellow nominees and winners, and a big thank you to MLSA for recognising and supporting highest quality standards and professionalism in the landscaping industry. Constructed by LCS in 2017, the Renmark Paringa Council launched an Urban Design Framework (UDF) to modernize the Renmark Town Centre and align it with the community’s aspirations. This initiative led to the creation of the Taylor Riverfront Precinct, a vibrant gathering spot celebrating the Riverland lifestyle and boosting the local economy. The precinct, originally the Taylor Memorial Gardens established in 1937, was renamed after consultations with the Clark and Taylor families. The area now features the Harry Clark Water Play, preserving its historical essence while adding modern, interactive elements. The renovated fountain, originally designed by Peter Everingham and built with contributions from local businessman Harry Clark, remains a focal point. It symbolizes the major rivers of the Murray Darling River system and the region's agricultural heritage. With its safer, more interactive water play area, the precinct has become a popular spot for families. Community feedback during the 2016 public consultation strongly supported “water play” facilities, which have successfully enhanced visitor experiences in the area. 📣 Major Project Update📣 : There’s plenty of action happening on site at ‘The Square’ with LCS Landscapes recently commencing works for West Beach Parks’ newest coastal community precinct. Our commercial construction team have boots on the ground establishing initial earthworks and hardscaping to create what will be a vibrant hub for visitors to the area. With an unparalleled backdrop of sand and sea, the square will feature a range of public amenities including a kiosk, playground, shelter, and more. Watch this space!

Constructed by LCS Landscapes in 2023, the City of Port Adelaid Enfield’s Polonia Reserve transformation is a testament to innovation and heritage preservation. Born from the disruption caused by the South Road freeway to the Croydon Football Club's original pitch, the area is now a multifaceted recreational hub at Regency Reserve. A throwback to an excellent south Australian play space, Cobbler Creek Recreation Park, proudly constructed by LCS Landscapes for Salisbury Council. Designed by Birdseye Studios, the Kites and Kestrels adventure playground features a flying fox, swings, slides, raptor nests, sandpits, creeks, and stepping logs. A nature trail leads kids into an existing creek line, offering an immersive experience among the mallee. The new facility includes extensive shelters, BBQs, toilets, new turfed areas, and parking. Birdseye Studios, Trailscapes, and IMBA Australia developed the trail hub, providing a range of trails for different uses based on international sustainable best practices. The pump track and blue diamond flow trails help develop skills and confidence to advance to the black trails and the wider Cobbler Creek network. Cobbler Creek Recreation Park received an SA AILA Award in 2017 for Parks and Open Space, recognising the quality and thoughtfulness of this project. #aila #playspace #landscapeconstruction
