Great post Jacob! 👏🏼
G’day everyone, I’ve been floating around here for a few years now, but I realised I’ve never properly introduced myself… My name’s Jacob John Sullivan, though most people just call me Jacob. Fun fact: John is my grandfather’s middle name, and it became part of mine too! Here’s a bit about my journey so far: 1997: I was born in a small country town hospital called Wingham. My family packed up and moved to the big smoke—Sydney—where I was raised in the St George area (Go the Dragons 🐉 🏉) 2014: I left school during Year 12 and took a gap year to find myself. During that time, I realised I had a talent for something I’d loved since I was a little boy—football ⚽️. 2016-2017: After years of dedication, I was fortunate enough to win a place at the Nike Academy. I was flown around the world for trials and selected as a shadow player for the prestigious Academy. However, while waiting for a spot in my position to open, the Academy’s operations ceased, and funding was cut. It was tough luck, but the experience was unforgettable! 2017–2019: I continued to chase my dream, trialling with professional clubs across Spain, Portugal, Wales, and England. Unfortunately, injuries got the better of me, but they taught me resilience and perseverance. 2019–2024: I shifted gears and started a career in real estate. This eventually led me to valuations, where I worked across operations, sales, and management roles with some of the biggest firms. And that’s just a part of it! These days, I’m proud to be part of Local Valuers Australia 🇦🇺. I focus on helping Australian property investors and business owners get the most from independent valuation services. I provide tailored, streamlined solutions designed to meet their specific goals and needs. If you’d like a hand or just want to connect → feel free to send me a message. I’m keen to meet more of you and share insights! P.S. Here’s a throwback to a young bloke with big dreams 💭 that are still burning strong. When life knocks you down, lace up, stand tall, and get back on the pitch.
