The Maddie’s Vision team were happy to hear from Sally who shared how important our ‘Oscar’ has been for Sienna whilst she has been in hospital this week. Sienna was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anaemia earlier this year and has endured multiple hospital visits over the last six months. Like many children with a Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome diagnosis, this time in hospital is often scary and overwhelming. Our ‘Oscars’ (Maddie’s beautiful dog) have been sent to many children across Australia to provide support and comfort whilst they are going through their Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome treatment. 💜🐶 #FightLikeMaddie

The Maddie’s Vision Centre of Research Excellence in Bone Marrow Biology is thrilled to announce that EARLY BIRD registrations are NOW OPEN for the 2025 National Symposium on Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes. This premier scientific event will include expert clinicians and scientists, including international guests Dr Emma Groarke (NHLBI, US) and Dr Marcin Wlodarski (St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, US) presenting information about the latest research into improved diagnosis, treatment, patient care and clinical trials.
