Australia's best tuition college for students in year 3 to 12. Box Hill Melbourne campus opening in January 2025.

About us

Matrix Education is Australia's leading tuition college for Year 3 to 12 students since 1999. We specialise in English, Mathematics, Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The majority of our students are ranked top at their school and score ATAR results over 95. Students are positioned ahead of their school curriculum with the Matrix Learning System. Our experienced teachers teach every topic in-depth before they are covered at school. As a result, students are more confident and 'exam-ready' when they revisit the topics at school. Matrix is a place where carefully planned spaces, innovative teaching practices and comprehensive classroom resources all combine to set up our students for academic success. We are the tuition college of choice for more than 10,000 students and their families. At Matrix, our students come first. With 25 years experience, and tens of thousands of our graduates achieving their academic goals in NSW, Matrix is coming to Victoria in 2025! Matrix Box Hill opens January 2025. Student at UNSW, Intern at Transgrid and Teacher at Matrix Education

This year has been very special to me. I am fortunate to have gained new experiences that have pushed me to grow both personally and professionally - all while allowing me to reached many important milestones in my life. I started my internship at Transgrid. I never imagined myself having a career in the energy industry but that has changed completely with this experience. I immediately felt comfortable in the friendly, flexible and inclusive workplace environment. I was able to understand a lot of my strengths and weakness as well as work on improving myself. I also made many friends in my team and the internship program, which has encouraged me a lot. My internship allowed me to gain an appreciation for the energy industry as well as the all the work that goes into the construction of infrastructure. Honestly, it is very surprising how much you do not know until you enter the workplace! Overall, this has been - and will continue to be - a very rewarding experience and I am so grateful to announce that my journey has just begun... I will be starting as a Graduate Engineer at Transgrid this January. I was also promoted to a Teacher at Matrix Education and have had the opportunity to teach an Year 10 Science and Year 11 Chemistry cohort, in this year. Teaching my classes of students has allowed me to develop my confidence and ability to communicate. I am very grateful for my students for not only learning from me but also teaching me about myself. Last, but not least, I completed my undergraduate thesis with the retinal modelling team at UNSW Graduate School of Biomedical Experience. My thesis has been a very unique experience. It involved countless hours of research, reading scientific papers I needed a dictionary to understand, coding, running simulations and writing. And despite the stress and many challenges, I was able to persevere thanks to the support of my supervisor, Dr Tianruo Guo, and the team that were with my at every step of the journey. I could not have done it without them. Overall, I am so proud of this year and hope to achieve more in my career! I am also very grateful for every person that has supported my and helped me reach these milestones. Let this journey continue...

Excited to share my first two published pieces of creative writing with the world, published in Issue 33 of Swamp, an online magazine for Postgraduate Creative Writing. Both my poem and creative non-fiction reflect on memories of my Grandfather and were originally submissions for my courses at #WesternSydneyUniversity. I hope that these are the first of many pieces that I can share with the world. https://lnkd.in/gpaKJAP4

Today's NAPLAN results reveal that one in three students is still not meeting basic literacy and numeracy expectations. Matrix Head of Primary, Katrina Perrott highlights the importance of building strong foundational knowledge: "A strong understanding of core concepts is essential for success throughout a child’s schooling. Investing in a structured teaching approach with multiple learning exposures is key to developing these foundational skills, which are critical for future academic growth."
