Did you know?  🥑 Up to 30% of all food grown, produced and manufactured worldwide ends up in landfill 🍲 1 in 3 Melburnians are classified as food insecure (i.e. regularly going without food) These alarming facts were shared with our team during our Volunteer Day at The Big Umbrella Foundation in Brunswick. Joining in on The Big Umbrella's efforts to feed people and form communities, our team got into the kitchen to make 250 nutritious restaurant-quality meals using rescued produce. These meals were given out at Federation Square later that evening to those who need it most. Thank you The Big Umbrella Foundation for hosting us; we're so grateful for your merry impact on the world.

Merry People is partnering with Bridge It, a not-for-profit dedicated to ending youth homelessness in Melbourne. Dani knew there was an opportunity to make a real impact together when she first met Bridge It's founder, Carla. In Australia, at least 122,000 people experience homelessness any given night. Bridge It provides homes, community and support programs to young women leaving residential or foster care. "When starting Merry People I knew I wanted to be a business that made a positive impact on society. When I met Carla, and heard some of the stories of the young people - I wanted to help."
