Milan Club Melbourne reposted this
It has been a busy few weeks... in fact months! After Milan Club Melbourne’s first season in 2017, we saw another massive milestone for our club as AC Milan returned to Australian soil for the first time in 30 years. A big thanks must be extended to Rita Saffioti MLA and WA Government for helping make Australian rossoneri fans' dream a reality as well as Lou Sticca for pulling off a massive coup for Australian sport. Beyond the amazing experience and fun that we shared between our Melbourne club, Milan Club Sydney and Milan Club Adelaide, it was so nice to meet so many great people like Sal Vallelonga, Robbie Williamson and Egidio Squillace over our time in WA. We may be from Melbourne, but they made WA feel like home for a week! I can't thank you all enough for the beautiful hospitality that we received and look forward to returning the favour on your next visit to Melbourne. In addition to the activities of the week, it was a real highlight to see our clubs come together from across the country and raise $2,135 for Fondazione Milan to support the Foundation's amazing work in the areas of inclusivity, poverty and the community Watching the team play was of course amazing, but I was also so grateful for the true passion and behind the scenes work from Luca Bertarini, Alessandro Sansica, Priyan Fernando, Simone Nobilini (+ Tommaso Longhini, Benedetto Di Blasi & Peter Morgan from afar!) continuously working tirelessly behind the scenes. To see their genuine excitement and to have built such real friends from 16,000km away is special. I hadn't been planning a return trip to Italy anytime soon... although I walk away from Perth ready to return! It was surreal to be standing side by side with club legends, Serginho, Franco Baresi and Daniele Massaro for a full week... The only reason that I can say the trip ran so smoothly and successfully for our Australian fans is because of the dedication and countless hours put in by my amazing team of Daniel karamaneas, Marco Petta, Paul Fantasia and Andrew Greig + Stephanie Pruna among others. Thank you all for your hard work - it paid off! Some of you may have noticed that Milan Club Melbourne has recently launched a new logo. A massive thanks must go to Riccardo Conetta - all the way in Dublin - for his support on the project. We are very excited to see the new branding on our new site which has been masterfully developed by Nathan Antonucci, Kaeden Trinh, Stephanie Pruna & Andrew Greig which is more powerful, automated and masterfully designed in comparison to our old site. AUSTRALIA ROSSONERA FORZA LOTTA, VINCERAI, NON TI LASCEREMO MAI!
