Congratulations to the ACRF Melanoma Imaging and Diagnosis Centre (ACEMID) team on a powerful, productive and engaging Researcher Workshop. There's experts in dermatology, AI, melanography, epidemiology, health economics, project management, I.T., behavioural science and so much more. It's an incredible group that's leading the world's largest skin imaging trial. We're proud to partner with the ACEMID team and we're excited about the work that's underway that we hope will lead to a targeted national screening program for melanoma and skin cancer. #ACEMID #MSCAN #skinimaging #clinicaltrial #melanoma #skincancer

MSCAN joined patient organisations at the Australian Patient Advocacy Alliance (APAA) Summit in Canberra last week. It's a great opportunity for us to lift our sights beyond our specific health issues to all types of health conditions and to engage with policy makers. A couple of key takeaways: 🎯 The importance of prevention and early detection. Whether it's cancer or any other health issue. Primary healthcare remains critical. 💪 The value of collaboration and alliances. 🔊 The importance of advocacy. HIGHLIGHT || Spot on Award for Dedication to Changing Australia’s Skin Cancer Landscape, awarded at our event with the Parliamentary Friends of Melanoma & Skin Cancer Awareness, Parliament House, Canberra. Awarded to Prof H. Peter Soyer for his world-leading work to improve the early detection of melanoma and skin cancer and develop a targeted, national, melanoma screening program alongside his colleagues at the ACRF Melanoma Imaging and Diagnosis Centre. It's going to a BIG year for MSCAN and our advocacy efforts 🎯 We wrapped up 2024 with our Start of Summer BBQ with the Parliamentary Friends of Melanoma & Skin Cancer Awareness.
