MSS Security was honoured to attend the GO Foundation’s Graduation Celebration at Sydney University, recognising the incredible achievements of their Sydney and Canberra students. The evening featured a Traditional Smoking Ceremony, cultural performances, and heartfelt tributes to the graduates. On Friday the 22nd of November, Habitat Security and MSS Security had the pleasure of attending Bond University’s 2024 Indigenous Gala, Kumai Karulbo “Bigger Together”. The night was a celebration of Indigenous culture, showcasing the talents and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders and entertainers within the wider community. The Gala directly supports Indigenous students’ tertiary education with Bond University. This week’s Melbourne Cup Carnival commenced in spectacular fashion on Saturday with the running of the Penfolds Victoria Derby, and continues with tomorrow’s world famous Lexus Melbourne Cup. Onto Thursday and the fantastic Kennedy Oaks, and concludes this Saturday with the TAB Champions Stakes, marking 4 of the most prestigious days on the Australian and International racing calendar. Tomorrow’s running of the 163rd Lexus Melbourne Cup will draw crowds of over 90,000 to Flemington and a television audience of over 1 billion people to watch , the “Race that stops a nation”. The MSS Security team of over 1,000 security and event personnel are on track to ensure estimated crowds of over 200,000 across the week enjoy the racing spectacular safely. In addition to securing the event and escorting the Lexus Melbourne Cup on its tour of Australia, our partnership with the Victoria Racing Club includes our sponsorship of the MSS Security Subzero Handicap over 1,400m in Race 3.
