🚀 What an incredible experience at the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT) National Conference 2024 A huge thank you to AUSIT and their team for hosting such a well-organised and insightful event. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with peers, share knowledge, and strengthen our commitment to enhancing language services for diverse communities. Our team came away inspired by thought-providing insights, including Dr Holly Ann Silvestri’s (University of Arizona) powerful keynote and the AI roundtable moderated by Marc Orlando with Dr Holly Ann Silvestri, Anthony Pym, Vanessa Enríquez Raído, Fatih Karakas and Sean Xiang Cheng. 🧠 Technology is shaping our profession—understanding AI’s impact is crucial. 🤝 While AI advances, it can’t replicate human understanding of culture, context, or individual nuances, highlighting the irreplaceable role of interpreters, particularly for critical work such as in courts and medical settings. If you’re a passionate translator or interpreter, join Multicultural NSW! Learn more here👉 https://lnkd.in/gHK4D-_R Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to making the event a success!
